The region of Siena is worldwine known for his marvellous landscapes and quiet countrylife…
But, there’s much more. Farmers that articulate days with lands’ hard work; their families: united as they still are, they join them in day by day work; the attention to seasonal natural cycles; simplicity and ruggedness that as always mark people of these lands.

SECOND DAY: VERNACCIA DAY WEDNESDAY 21th of October
Vernaccia is a wine that has been appreciated since Dante Alighieri’s times. His territory speaks for his long lasting economic development, started since Middle Ages. All the towers we can now see, only a small part of the orginal amount, were the symbol of wealthier and powerful families of San Gimignano… nowadays we love to say: “San Gimignano as Middle Ages’ Manhattan”.

THIRD DAY: SIENA DAY THURSDAY 22th of October
Siena is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Italy: untouched masterpiece of Middle Ages, it is included in UNESCO’s WORLD HERITAGE List. Famous for its historic centre and for its main square, Piazza del Campo: here, two times each year, it is runned the “Palio”, for its glorious history and well preserved authenticity. These are typical elements that characterized people of this land and members of Terranostra.

10.30 Meeting with the Head of Tourism and visit the Town Hall
13.00 Visit farmhouse “Bagno a Sorra” with oil professional tasting and lunch
17.00 Visit “Podere Canapaccia” with tour about hemp processing; dinner
Night in Val d’Orcia, at “Agriturismo Il Casato – Podere Fontanelle”
FOURTH DAY: CYPRESSES DAY FRIDAY 23th of October
Cypress trees: the primary ornamental element of Val d’Orcia, included in UNESCO’s WORLD HERITAGE List.
These trees merge with landscapes in such an armonic and not imitable ways, becoming a real symbol of these lands. In past times was used by our ancestors as a landmark to delimitate properties.
The care and dedication of people in this area Terranostra maintain and preserve the unique landscape as it once was.

FIFTH DAY: CHEESE DAY SATURDAY 24th of October
The link between material and processing occurs in this area particularly in cheese production: land, devoid of vineyards, is suited for grain crops, pastures and weeds that make the milk from our sheep different. It has infact different flavors than other areas of Italy. This is the peculiarity of our products and of our agritourism ... even Terranostra!
